Yoshino White Flowering Cherry Tree
Prunus yedoensis ‘Yoshino’
USDA Plant Hardiness Zones: 4a-8b Find Your Zone
Special Attributes
The magnificent trees that you’ll see in glorious bloom at the Macon Georgia Cherry Blossom Festival, and one of our favorite flowering trees, the Yoshino Cherry produces masses light pink buds that open to single-petaled white flowers that nearly cover the tree in what looks like snow in late winter to early spring. Its double-serrated deep green leaves turn to shades of bright yellow, gold, and bronze in fall. Pea sized black, berry-like fruit appear in late spring to summer providing food for birds and other wildlife. Yoshino is a magnificent tree that deserves a spot in every landscape where it will grow! USDA Plant Hardiness Zones: 4a-8b Find Your Zone
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 25 to 35 feet tall and 20 to 30 feet wide, the Yoshino Flowering Cherry Tree is ideal for use as a specimen or in groupings in sunny to mostly sunny areas of landscape or woodland borders. Also nice to frame the corners of tall homes and to provide beauty and some shade around patios, porches and other outdoor living spaces. A fine addition to white theme gardens, cottage gardens, and wildlife gardens.
Suggested Spacing: 35′ or more for space between trees
Cultural Preferences
The Yoshino Flowering Cherry Tree is very easy to grow in most any average, moist but well-drained soil and full sun or mostly sun. It is very drought tolerant when established. Standing water or constantly soggy or wet soils can be problematic.

I ordered a Yoshino Cherry tree online. We received it very quickly and the packaging of the tree was very impressive. I always wondered how people ship trees without damaging them. Well now I know. I will definitely order again.—————————————————-Hi Carla & Toby, Thanks so much for taking the time to provide your review of the Yoshino Flowering Cherry Tree.
