Description
With the shiniest leaves of all, and clusters of white flowers that smother the plant in spring to early summer, All That Glows Viburnum was certainly aptly named!
Selected for its glossy foliage, showy flower clusters, blue fruit and compact size, the All That Glows Viburnum is a superstar of a flowering shrub that is perfectly sized for the residential landscape. What we think is most special about this selection is its super glossy leaves that “glow” in the sun, making for quite a handsome presence in the landscape. In spring to early summer, butterflies flock to the abundant and beautiful flat-top clusters of white flowers that are followed by attractive, glossy blue berries in late summer that the birds will appreciate. An easy care plant ideal for use as an accent, in groupings, or as a hedge or home foundation plant.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 5 to 6 feet tall and equally as wide, All That Glows Viburnum is ideal for use as an eye-catching specimen shrub or in groupings in landscape and flowering shrub borders. Perfect in sunny or partially shady shaded woodland borders. A fine addition to white theme gardens, cottage gardens and bird and wildlife gardens.
Suggested Spacing: 4 feet apart for solid hedge; 8 feet or more apart for space between plants.
Cultural Preferences
The All That Glows Viburnum is very easy to grow in most any moist but well drained soil of average fertility and full sun to part shade. It prefers a loamy soil rich in organic matter. Deer haven’t touched it in our gardens. Responds well to light pruning after flowering for shaping purposes though doing so might remove berries.
